Staff Accountant (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid in Short Hills, New Jersey; interim work location in Branchville, New Jersey until the new headquarters is operational

Salary: USD $76,000–$98,000 per year

What you will do

• Analyze general ledger balances and compile financial information.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, accounting summaries, and reconciliations.
• Record financial transactions in accordance with SSAP and GAAP.
• Apply accounting, reporting, statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Determine service expenses, distribute costs, and prepare financial analysis.
• Suggest accounting procedure improvements and participate in accounting projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 1–3 years of financial accounting experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, laws, and compliance regulations.
• Experience with spreadsheet software and automated or manual accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and project management skills.
