Lifting Engineer (Appointed Person)

What you will do

• Supervise and manage onshore and offshore lifting operations, maintenance, inspection, load testing, certification, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare lifting plans and supervise critical lifting activities for oil and gas projects.
• Create and review method statements, risk assessments, and job safety analysis plans.
• Ensure contractors comply with HSE procedures, rules, and regulations for rigging and lifting activities.
• Verify the competency of appointed persons, lifting supervisors, crane operators, riggers, and banksmen.
• Attend client and management meetings and manage third-party lifting equipment inspection contracts.

Requirements

• 7–9 years of experience at senior level and 10 years of proven experience supervising site lifting operations.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with lifting equipment maintenance, inspection, load testing, certification, auditing, and troubleshooting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification.
• LEEA-accredited training in lifting operations or an Appointed Person course.
• Broad knowledge of international lifting equipment and operations standards, health and safety guidelines, and local legislation.
• Proficient English is required.

Nice to have

• Oil and gas experience.
• ADNOC approval as a Lifting Appointed Person.
