Environmental Test Technician (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Prepare spacecraft hardware, components, test articles, fixtures, instrumentation, and environmental test facilities.
• Support vibration, thermal, thermal vacuum, qualification, and acceptance test campaigns.
• Install and verify accelerometers, thermocouples, sensors, cables, fixtures, and data acquisition equipment.
• Execute approved test procedures while monitoring hardware, test conditions, and equipment performance.
• Record configurations, parameters, observations, anomalies, and test results accurately.
• Support troubleshooting, post-test inspections, equipment maintenance, calibration, and laboratory readiness.

Requirements

• Diploma, technical qualification, or Associate's Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, aerospace, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, or test equipment in a technical environment.
• Ability to follow detailed engineering procedures, work instructions, and test documentation.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, assembly drawings, and equipment instructions.
• Experience using basic measurement and test equipment, with strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail when handling sensitive or high-value hardware.

Nice to have

• Experience in environmental, aerospace, spacecraft, or other high-reliability testing.
• Hands-on experience with vibration or shaker testing and thermal or thermal vacuum chambers.
• Experience installing accelerometers, thermocouples, strain gauges, or other test instrumentation.
• Experience with data acquisition systems, test monitoring software, cleanrooms, or controlled manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with spacecraft, satellite, aviation, defence, calibrated equipment, and controlled test documentation.
