VP Engineering and Reliability (AI)

What you will do

• Lead the engineering and reliability function within the Technology Platform organization.
• Own the reliability, security, performance, and cost of platforms supporting other engineers.
• Set engineering standards across continuous delivery, infrastructure provisioning, database engineering, and performance engineering.
• Lead large-scale Oracle production estates, including RAC, Data Guard, Exadata, and Oracle on virtual machines.
• Drive cloud-first transformation while maintaining legacy and specialized infrastructure.
• Build and develop a high-caliber, globally distributed leadership team.

Requirements

• Substantial engineering leadership experience at Senior Director or VP level, including leading other leaders.
• Accountability for a platform or infrastructure engineering organization of 40+ engineers across multiple locations.
• Deep experience across at least three areas including CI/CD and release engineering, cloud infrastructure provisioning, infrastructure as code, and Oracle database engineering.
• Experience operating large-scale Oracle estates in production, including RAC, Data Guard, and Exadata, and modernizing or migrating them without business disruption.
• Experience defining and operating an SRE model with SLOs, error budgets, incident command, and post-incident learning.
• Strong commercial capability covering budget ownership, vendor negotiation, FinOps, Oracle licensing, and work in regulated or high-availability environments.
