Director, Applications and AI Automation

Location: United Kingdom, Kings Langley; the role can also be based in Spain.

What you will do

• Set the strategy and roadmap for enterprise applications, automation, integrations, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Lead ERP development on IFS, custom and legacy application development, and the modernisation or retirement of existing platforms.
• Own Power Platform low-code and citizen development, workflow, robotic, and agentic automation standards and governance.
• Lead real-time application integration on Boomi and ensure secure, reliable, documented interfaces between systems.
• Own the AI application platform, including the model gateway, agent runtime and registry, evaluation practice, and consumption cost controls.
• Build and lead a distributed technical team while managing vendors, licences, budgets, architecture conformance, security, and operational handover.

Requirements

• Senior leadership experience in application development or digital delivery functions at scale.
• Experience delivering ERP platforms such as IFS alongside modern application development, automation, and AI capabilities.
• Experience putting AI-enabled applications or agents into production with appropriate governance.
• Knowledge of enterprise application landscapes, integration patterns, AI application platforms, hirify.globalponsible AI, and demand-build-run operating models.
• Strong leadership of distributed, multi-country technical teams, with commercial, vendor, budget, stakeholder, quality, and security management skills.
• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience; relevant certifications are advantageous. Spanish fluency is preferred.
