Investments Intern - Bank Loans

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; in-office at least four days per week with one flexible work-from-home day

Salary: $32.75 per hour

What you will do

• Build and maintain three-statement financial models and earnings forecasts for leveraged issuers.
• Conduct fundamental credit analysis covering business risk, industry dynamics, financial performance, capital structure, and covenant protections.
• Develop relative value frameworks across issuers, industries, and capital structures.
• Prepare credit recommendation memoranda for primary and secondary loan market opportunities.
• Support portfolio monitoring through earnings reviews, company updates, and ongoing credit surveillance.
• Research bank loans, CLOs, and broader fixed income markets while working with portfolio managers and analysts.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, business, or a related field.
• Expected graduation in December 2027 or May/June 2028.
• Passion for investment management and contributing to a successful team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Valid United States work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.
• Ability to work in the office at least four days per week in El Segundo, California.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial statement analysis, accounting, valuation, or financial modeling.
• Interest in leveraged finance, corporate credit, bank loans, high-yield, or structured credit markets.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivation, integrity, attention to detail, and effective time management.
