Project Manager – Regulatory & Environmental Compliance (Environmental Compliance/Oil and Gas): Managing permitting, audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance projects for oil and gas clients with an accent on scope, schedule, budget, and federal and state environmental regulations. Focus on coordinating technical teams and subcontractors, conducting site inspections, mitigating regulatory risks, and maintaining client relationships.
Location: Houston, TX, United States; hybrid workplace with travel to project sites as needed

What you will do
- Manage multiple environmental compliance projects involving permitting, audits, regulatory reporting, schedules, budgets, and scope changes.
- Act as the primary client contact, maintain relationships, and manage expectations.
- Oversee permit applications, compliance reports, regulatory correspondence, inspections, and site visits.
- Coordinate engineers, scientists, GIS specialists, and subcontractors to deliver project work.
- Manage invoicing, financial performance, contract modifications, project risks, and quality control.
- Support business development through proposal preparation and client pursuits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in environmental compliance, regulatory affairs, or environmental project management.
- Working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, including EPA, TCEQ, RRC, NMED, and NMOCD programs.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, client relationships, and technical deliverables.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Nice to have
- Professional certification such as PMP, CHMM, PG, or PE.
- Experience with federal programs, mining compliance, litigation support, or consulting for industrial, oil and gas, municipal, or government clients.
- Familiarity with project management and GIS software.
