Consultant / Virtualization Engineer (Hyper-V & Nutanix)

What you will do

• Engage with clients to understand infrastructure goals, challenges, and technology requirements.
• Translate requirements into infrastructure recommendations and solution proposals.
• Design, deploy, configure, and support scalable digital infrastructure solutions with architects, engineers, project managers, and vendors.
• Administer Microsoft Hyper-V environments, including virtual machines, virtual switches, storage, failover clustering, Hyper-V Replica, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Design and manage Nutanix AHV clusters, Prism Central, Prism Element, storage, networking, lifecycle management, upgrades, and capacity optimization.
• Test, validate, monitor, document, and troubleshoot infrastructure solutions, including backup and disaster recovery environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
• 3–5+ years of experience administering Nutanix infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Hyper-V, Windows Server, Windows Failover Clustering, Hyper-V Replica, PowerShell, SCVMM, and Windows Admin Center.
• Strong experience with Nutanix AHV, Prism Central, Prism Element, and Nutanix Lifecycle Manager.
• Experience with enterprise storage, backup and disaster recovery, networking, high-availability environments, and root cause analysis.
• Must be located in the United States for this virtual position.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure or hybrid cloud solutions.
• Familiarity with VMware vSphere and virtualization platform migrations.
• Infrastructure as Code and automation experience.
• Nutanix Certified Professional certification.
• Experience with enterprise backup tools such as Veeam, Rubrik, or Commvault.
