Storage Backup Expert (Storage & Backup)

Location: Hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week working from an HPE office. The role includes 24x7 rotational shifts and weekend work.

What you will do

• Provide operations, administration, consulting, and lifecycle support for storage infrastructure and operating systems.
• Install, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and decommission infrastructure and application environments according to operational standards and ITIL processes.
• Resolve customer issues through telephone, email, and remote sessions, reproducing problems and providing recommendations, updates, and action plans.
• Lead or support incident, escalation, problem, change, patch, security, and configuration management activities.
• Perform root-cause, trend, performance, capacity, security, and vulnerability analysis, including disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Manage technical relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal technology teams.

Requirements

• 6–7 years of experience in storage and backup administration support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of at least two backup technologies: Zerto, Veeam, or Commvault.
• Experience with storage, SAN/NAS technologies, Ethernet, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, FCoE, and storage firmware and management.
• Administration and troubleshooting experience with RHEL, SUSE Linux, AIX, CentOS, HP-UX, VMware, or Windows Hyper-V.
• Availability for a 24x7 support environment, rotational shifts, and weekend work, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Certifications in Zerto, Veeam, Commvault, Cohesity, VMware VCP, or ITIL.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Red Hat Satellite, SUSE Manager, and HPE Serviceguard.
• Knowledge of database, ERP, networking, and related infrastructure technologies.
• Experience delivering technical training and supporting complex cross-technology incidents.
