Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer (Virtualization & Security)

Location: Lisbon, hybrid. Candidates must have an existing legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Configure and maintain Linux servers across a complex infrastructure environment.
• Manage and optimize virtualized environments using Proxmox.
• Configure networks, VPNs, and storage solutions for resilience and reliability.
• Implement infrastructure security practices and develop monitoring and logging systems.
• Manage automated backups and disaster recovery plans to support business continuity.
• Automate infrastructure processes with Ansible and Terraform, and optimize server hardware for performance and scalability.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience working with Linux systems, including Red Hat family distributions, Debian, and Ubuntu.
• Strong experience with virtualization, especially Proxmox.
• In-depth networking knowledge and understanding of infrastructure security practices.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform.
• Strong problem-solving skills, operational stability focus, independence, and ownership.
• Good spoken and written English and Portuguese; existing EU work authorization required.

Nice to have

• Certifications related to Linux or virtualization technologies.
• Experience working in agile or dynamic environments.
