Short-Form Video Producer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States. On-site five days a week at the SF HQ; travel is required for shoots.

Salary: $148,000–$168,000 USD per year, plus competitive equity.

What you will do

• Turn ideas, founder perspectives, product updates, customer stories, and team moments into short-form videos for social channels.
• Develop concepts, find the hook, shoot lean productions, direct founders and teammates, edit footage, and publish finished videos.
• Create recurring video formats around founders, products, customers, and the team.
• Work with product and engineering to explain technical products and complex demos through clear storytelling.
• Film launches, events, conversations, behind-the-scenes content, and customer stories in the office and on the road.
• Own the publishing calendar, prepare channel-specific versions, and analyze views, watch time, retention, shares, and audience growth.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience shooting, editing, and publishing short-form video, or a portfolio demonstrating equivalent work.
• Strong instincts for story, hooks, pacing, and audience-focused content.
• Ability to independently handle camera, sound, lighting, directing, editing, clean audio, captions, and color grading.
• Experience filming founders, customers, or events, growing a recurring video series, or working as a one-person production team.
• Ability to work from the San Francisco office five days a week and travel for shoots.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; US visa sponsorship is not currently available.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with hirify.global, open source, developer tools, or technical products.
• Experience with motion graphics and animated product demos.
• Background in startup video production, social video, documentary, news, or developer tools.

• Complete a paid approximately 40-hour work trial involving a real video from concept to publication; editing may be done remotely during the trial.
