Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY; team location in East Aurora, NY. Candidates local to the Western New York area are preferred, and relocation will not be provided.

Salary: $28.00–$37.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform receiving, manufacturing, assembly, test, engineering procedure, and first article inspections.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using microscopes, precision gauges, and other measurement equipment.
• Perform process capability and gauge capability studies and implement statistical process control plans.
• Support process validation, tooling trials, product and process improvement studies, and quality system development.
• Prepare and perform customer source inspections and verify compliance with contractual quality changes.
• Investigate nonconformances, execute corrective actions, analyze quality data, and support Kaizen initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; an associate’s degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of manufacturing experience in a quality role, including nonconformances, corrective actions, inspection planning, and process improvement.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring equipment such as air gauges, laser micrometers, microscopes, and CMM equipment.
• Familiarity with AS9100 specifications, quality documentation, process validation, SPC, and gauge capability studies.
• Strong communication, writing, organization, time management, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in controlled manufacturing environments.
• Background in machining, inspection, assembly, or testing.
• Experience with continuous improvement activities and Kaizen.
