Technician, Quality Inspection (Aerospace)

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States; field-based role with local and regional travel to supplier facilities.

Salary: $24.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Conduct source inspections at supplier manufacturing facilities.
• Verify compliance with customer requirements, engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders, and industry standards.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and documentation inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gages, thread gages, and other precision tools.
• Review certifications, travelers, inspection reports, material traceability, and test data.
• Complete inspection reports accurately and communicate inspection status and quality concerns to suppliers, customers, and hirify.global personnel.
• Maintain qualifications, certifications, training, vision examinations, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of quality inspection experience in aerospace, manufacturing, electronics, or a related field.
• U.S. citizenship required due to customer requirements.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, manufacturing processes, standard measurement tools, and GD&T.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently; customer and hirify.global qualification requirements, including vision and technical evaluations, must be maintained.

Nice to have

• Source inspection or supplier audit experience.
• IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or IPC-A-600 certification.
• Familiarity with AS9100.
• Experience supporting NASA, DoD, aerospace, or other high-reliability manufacturing customers.
