ProFee Audit Specialist (Healthcare Coding)

What you will do

• Perform professional fee coding audits of medical records and abstracts using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, and applicable coding references.
• Provide concise, well-supported rationale for coding changes, including documentation references.
• Organize and prioritize multiple cases and client engagements to support workflow and timely resolution.
• Develop and deliver virtual coder education through webinars, presentations, training materials, and other resources.
• Identify coding trends, audit findings, and knowledge gaps, then create targeted educational content.
• Collaborate with leadership and clients as a subject matter expert on coding and compliance topics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional fee coding and/or auditing experience, with the majority in auditing.
• 3+ years of professional fee education creation and presentation experience.
• Multi-specialty ProFee coding and auditing experience, including E/M, Advance Care Planning, and surgical coding.
• CPC certification required; CPMA preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote, plus Epic, Cerner, and other electronic medical records systems.
• Ability to maintain a 95% accuracy rate and manage multiple clients concurrently.
