In Patient Coder - Acute / CABG (REMOTE)

What you will do

• Code acute inpatient hospital visits, including CABG, orthopedic, and medical cases.
• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Assign diagnosis-related groups and present-on-admission indicators.
• Review claims for medical necessity and update problem lists according to client requirements.
• Create compliant physician queries and use the 3M 360 Encoder HDM to support the coding and billing process.
• Work across multiple sites and coding specialties while supporting clients and teammates.

Requirements

• Two-year degree or equivalent experience.
• AHIMA or AAPC certification is required.
• Active RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or COC credential.
• Experience coding CABG, orthopedic, and medical cases is required.
• Experience with the 3M 360 Encoder HDM is required.
• Strong communication, organization, multitasking, time-management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
