Desktop Engineer (SCCM & Endpoint Systems)

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States of America; four days on-site at Seneca One Buffalo and one day working from home each week.

Salary: $97,100–$161,800 annual USD.

What you will do

• Administer Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), including operating system deployment, software distribution, patch management, compliance reporting, and application lifecycle management.
• Design, build, and maintain Windows device images and deployment methods for enterprise endpoints and ATM platforms.
• Partner with ATM Engineering on imaging solutions, operating system upgrades, software deployments, hardware refreshes, testing, and rollouts.
• Resolve complex endpoint issues across operating systems, applications, drivers, networking, hardware, and deployment systems.
• Use PowerShell and automation tools to improve deployment, reporting, and support processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, infrastructure, ATM Engineering, Service Desk teams, and vendors while maintaining technical documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of six combined years of higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management, or architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with SCCM/MECM, including OSD, software packaging and deployment, patch management, task sequences, compliance, and reporting.
• Deep knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems, endpoint lifecycle management, and enterprise device imaging.
• Advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving, incident management, and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation, plus strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work four days on-site in Buffalo, New York, with one work-from-home day per week.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of Desktop Engineering, Endpoint Engineering, or Systems Engineering experience in a medium-to-large enterprise.
• Experience with ATM platforms, kiosk devices, retail technology, or specialized endpoint systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, modern device management, endpoint security, ServiceNow, Jira, Active Directory, or Group Policy.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
