Payroll Lead (EMEA)

What you will do

• Lead EMEA payroll transformation initiatives across Poland, the UK, Germany, and Ireland, including vendor transitions, implementations, legal entity changes, consolidations, system enhancements, and process improvements.
• Manage projects from scope definition and requirements through process design, testing, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
• Coordinate vendor implementation activities, data readiness, configuration reviews, integrations, parallel payroll validation, defect resolution, and production readiness.
• Maintain project plans, milestones, decision logs, risk registers, test evidence, cutover checklists, status reports, and contingency plans.
• Partner with Payroll, Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Information Technology, Procurement, and external payroll providers.
• Support daily payroll operations, including reviews, reconciliations, audits, year-end activities, complex transactions, vendor issues, controls, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
• Six or more years of progressive payroll experience, including multi-country or regional payroll delivery.
• Experience leading payroll vendor transitions, implementations, legal entity changes, or comparable transformation initiatives.
• Project management experience covering planning, requirements, testing, risk management, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
• Working knowledge of payroll operations, controls, and compliance across EMEA.
• Experience with payroll providers, HR information systems, payroll platforms, time systems, and payroll data interfaces, including Unit4 Teta HR, Deel, and Workday.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering payroll transformation in a global organization with multiple entities, providers, and stakeholder groups.
• Formal project management, change management, or process improvement training or certification.
