TACOM (RRAD): Biological Science Technician (Contingency)

Location: Red River Army Depot, Texas, United States. This is a full-time, physical work environment with standing, walking, lifting, and possible exposure to machinery, fuels, oils, and outdoor conditions. Shift, overtime, and weekend work may be required.

What you will do

• Conduct environmental, biological, and facility inspections supporting federal, state, local, and Department of Defense compliance.
• Collect, document, and manage biological and environmental samples and data related to industrial operations, maintenance activities, air quality, water quality, hazardous materials, and natural resources.
• Perform environmental monitoring, site assessments, pollution prevention activities, and compliance reporting.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate environmental monitoring, sampling, and testing equipment.
• Maintain technical records, databases, permits, and reports for environmental compliance, hazardous waste, and natural resource programs.
• Coordinate with environmental professionals, engineers, safety personnel, facility managers, military personnel, contractors, and operational staff to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Knowledge of biological, environmental, or natural resource management principles and environmental compliance programs.
• Experience collecting, documenting, analyzing, and maintaining biological, environmental, or scientific data and reports.
• Knowledge of air quality, water quality, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, pollution prevention, or natural resource regulations.
• Ability to conduct field investigations, facility inspections, environmental sampling, and monitoring in industrial environments.
• Proficiency operating, maintaining, and calibrating environmental monitoring and testing equipment; Microsoft Office and database experience required, with GIS experience preferred.
• U.S. citizenship is required, and the ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting DoD, Army, TACOM, government inspections, audits, or compliance programs.
• Associate degree in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience with tire repair, retreading, rubber fabrication, hazardous material handling, or government contracting.
