Field Service Specialist - Gas Turbines - Steel Plate Fitter (Gas Turbines)

Location: Dammam, Ash Sharqiyah, Saudi Arabia; extensive travel across Saudi Arabia and internationally, including day and night shifts

What you will do

• Perform specialized maintenance, repair, and modification work on gas turbines and generators at customer power plants.
• Carry out mechanical activities including component alignment, cooling air system and flame tube work, burner installation, and steel cutting, grinding, forming, and welding preparation.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime and maintain operational reliability.
• Coordinate with Field Service Shift Leads and Engineers while following quality, EHS, and project procedures.
• Prepare maintenance reports, quality records, and technical documentation using engineering drawings and installation schematics.
• Lead subcontractors, conduct risk assessments, promote safety programs, and ensure correct PPE use.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a Steel Plate Fitter, including steel plate cutting, repair, grinding, forming, and related operations.
• Hands-on experience with large gas turbines, preferably Advanced Frame 4000F and V-Frame 2000E units.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions, with strong communication skills.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Availability for approximately 70% travel, or 200–250 days per year, with long-duration domestic and international assignments.
• Knowledge of Foreign Material Exclusion, Confined Space Entry, Working at Height, and field service safety practices.
