Full Stack Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Currently fully remote, with a future transition to a hybrid setup; candidates are asked whether they are based in Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo.

hirify.global is a Series C fintech building an AI-powered conversational financial companion for Latinos in the US, starting with cross-border remittances and expanding into credit, savings, and wallet services.

What you will do

• Architect and implement scalable backend microservices for the chat platform.
• Build, deploy, and iterate on conversational interfaces and UI services for WhatsApp, web, and mobile applications.
• Design infrastructure that supports millions of daily requests and real-time messaging.
• Develop backend services using industry standards and Google Cloud services.
• Collaborate with product, UX/UI, and business teams while mentoring junior developers.
• Use customer feedback and analytics to improve chatbot effectiveness and conversational experiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience building, shipping, and iterating on software applications with real-world impact.
• Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with web services, including SOAP and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI development tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, or similar technologies.
• Curiosity or experience in fintech.
• Experience with the listed backend, frontend, mobile, cloud, and infrastructure technologies.
