People Services Sr Specialist Time to Pay (Japanese Payroll)

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processes and quality assurance.
• Calculate and verify bonuses, severance payments, tax adjustments, social insurance premiums, and tax deductions.
• Analyze Japanese labor and tax law changes and translate local requirements into global payroll systems.
• Collaborate with P&C, Finance, Mobility, Digital, offshore People Services teams, and payroll vendors.
• Resolve complex payroll inquiries and provide reporting and analysis to management.
• Lead payroll process-improvement, system-update, project-management, and change-management initiatives.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in Japanese payroll operations, preferably in a major multinational company.
• Experience working with global stakeholders in a matrix organization.
• Deep practical knowledge of Japanese labor law, tax law, social insurance, payroll controls, and compliance.
• Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Office; SAP or Workday experience is preferred.
• Japanese: native level required.
• English: business level required.
