Senior Accountant (Healthtech)

Location: United States - Remote; remote work is also available from the headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa.

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day accounting across accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, payroll, fixed assets, and the general ledger.
• Support monthly close by posting journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and preparing ad hoc financial analysis.
• Research and apply accounting treatments for complex contracts and technical areas including ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718, and ASC 805.
• Maintain lease accounting and inventory accounting schedules and compliance updates.
• Work with external accountants during audits and collaborate with internal groups to maintain accurate, high-quality work.
• Contribute to accounting projects, technical implementations, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, ideally across public accounting and private industry.
• Hands-on experience with ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718, and ASC 805, plus strong GAAP knowledge.
• Ability to independently manage month-end close schedules and complex account reconciliations.
• Experience with M&A accounting, business combinations, or technical accounting implementation projects.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, strong communication, analytical ability, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience in technology, software, healthtech, manufacturing, or inventory environments.
• CPA and/or MBA.
