TL;DR
Director, Solutions Architects (Next.js): Building and leading a European Solutions Architect organization that helps customers deliver web and AI products with Vercel, Next.js, and agentic infrastructure, with an accent on technical pre-sales, enterprise architecture, and team scaling. Focus on coaching technical leaders, guiding architecture reviews and migrations, developing repeatable customer-engagement plays, and partnering with Sales and Engineering across strategic accounts.
Location: Hybrid role based in the London or Berlin office, with three days per week onsite required.

What you will do
- Lead, develop, and manage the EMEA Solutions Architect team.
- Ensure technical excellence throughout the pre-sales cycle and support strategic accounts.
- Provide presentations, architecture reviews, migration plans, and hands-on technical guidance.
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to support customer success and provide field-driven product feedback.
- Develop repeatable engagement plays, track quarterly performance, and report to leadership.
- Own organizational planning, staffing, budgeting, and regional recruiting.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or Technical Pre-sales, including at least 5 years in leadership.
- Strong knowledge of modern web technologies, including JavaScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and scale technical teams in a high-growth environment.
- Experience working with enterprise and commercial customers across diverse industries.
- Strong understanding of software development workflows, including CI/CD, DevOps, and frontend frameworks.
- Experience collaborating with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Vercel, Next.js, or similar frontend frameworks.
- Experience leading Solutions Architect teams at a high-growth SaaS or cloud infrastructure company.
- Expertise in developer tooling, edge computing, or performance optimization.
- Comfort presenting at conferences, webinars, or large-scale customer events.
