Freelance Event Specialist

Location: On-site in Veracruz, Mexico; candidates must already be based in Veracruz. No relocation package is offered.

What you will do

• Join virtual planning meetings with corporate partners, nonprofit organizations, event hosts, coordinators, and other stakeholders.
• Set up, manage, and break down in-person social impact, team-building, and volunteering events.
• Represent hirify.global onsite as the event leader and primary problem solver.
• Coordinate roles and responsibilities across hosts, venues, nonprofit partners, staff, and corporate partners.
• Manage guest check-in, provide a welcoming customer experience, and send event updates, photos, and videos to the Events Team.
• Resolve issues involving supplies, staffing, technology, event materials, packing, and shipping.

Requirements

• Fluent English and strong communication skills.
• Already based in Veracruz, Mexico, with availability for per-event contract work.
• Experience with complex large-scale events and intimate executive-level events.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Availability for flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and willingness to travel within the local region.
• Ability to facilitate groups, manage group dynamics, interact with large crowds, lift or carry up to 30 lbs, and stand for extended periods.
