Data Engineer (Python)

Location: Onsite five days a week in Chicago, IL or Peoria, IL. Relocation assistance is not available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $89,210–$144,960 annually.

What you will do

• Develop Python data pipelines that build business data objects for application support.
• Perform programming, project management, and development assignments, including complex systems work.
• Identify and resolve complex application and technical problems and translate design requirements into engineering implementations.
• Build and deploy CI/CD pipelines and implement source-to-target mappings as pipeline code.
• Perform unit and integration testing and maintain software quality through effective development practices.
• Identify opportunities for team growth and improvement while collaborating across functional teams.

Requirements

• Knowledge of software development tools, activities, software product design, architecture, integration, and testing.
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle and structured methodologies for delivering and managing software products.
• Software development experience with solid working knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience designing and developing software applications in Python.
• Experience working with Git version control.
• Experience deploying software with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with AWS components such as Lambda, DynamoDB, Fargate, S3, SageMaker, IAM, and RDS.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Oracle.
• Strong learning ability, a proactive approach to current technologies and industry trends, and exceptional communication skills in cross-functional teams.
