Staff Machine Learning Engineer (Simulation Realism)

Base salary: $251,000–$310,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus, equity incentive plan, and company benefits.

What you will do

• Apply machine learning to improve the quality and accuracy of labeled data from multimodal sensors.
• Develop models that identify and correct issues in perception-based simulation data.
• Analyze data quality, investigate anomalies, and improve data-labeling pipelines.
• Collaborate with perception and simulation teams to define data requirements and quality standards.
• Lead solutions for complex data-quality challenges and define ML strategies for high-fidelity data generation.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of applied deep learning or machine learning experience for L5, or 7+ years for L6.
• Strong background in computer vision, sensor fusion, or perception.
• Proficiency in Python and common machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience with data analysis, quality assessment, coding, and system design.

Nice to have

• PhD in Computer Science or a similar discipline.
• Experience with autonomous-vehicle sensor data.
• Familiarity with data-labeling processes and challenges.
• Experience taking machine learning models from research into production.
