Research Scientist (Computer Vision)

Salary: $122,000–$181,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Conduct original research in computer vision, including 3D reconstruction, scene understanding, and generative image and video modeling.
• Develop and train deep learning models using large-scale image and video datasets.
• Implement, benchmark, and evaluate computer vision algorithms against state-of-the-art methods.
• Design training datasets and annotation pipelines for vision tasks.
• Translate research findings into production-ready prototypes with engineering teams.
• Publish research, contribute to shared codebases, and collaborate with product, engineering, and data science partners.

Requirements

• Must obtain and maintain work authorization in the United States during employment.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• PhD in computer vision, machine learning, computer science, or a related field, completed before joining.
• At least 2 years of research experience in computer vision, including 3D reconstruction, SLAM, or related areas.
• Experience developing and training deep learning models with frameworks such as PyTorch.
• Experience implementing and evaluating computer vision algorithms and communicating findings through publications, technical reports, or presentations.

Nice to have

• Experience with vision-language models, self-supervised learning, or generative image and video modeling.
• Experience with depth estimation, novel view synthesis, neural radiance fields, or multi-view reconstruction.
• Software engineering experience through internships, open-source contributions, or research engineering roles.
• Publications at leading computer vision or machine learning venues such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, or SIGGRAPH.
