Senior Manager, Contracts (Biotechnology)

Location: Hybrid in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $146,617–$179,198 per year, plus performance-based annual cash bonus and equity eligibility.

Biotechnology company developing CRISPR/Cas9-based genome editing therapies and engineered cell therapies for genetic diseases, cancers, and autoimmune diseases.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate confidentiality agreements, master service agreements, statements of work, consulting agreements, vendor agreements, supplier agreements, and other commercial contracts.
• Partner with Research, Clinical, Commercial, and G&A stakeholders to translate project requirements and risk tolerance into enforceable contract language.
• Identify legal, regulatory, and business risks and escalate issues to senior legal counsel.
• Administer the Ironclad contract lifecycle management platform, including templates, workflows, permissions, reporting, troubleshooting, and user training.
• Improve contracting workflows, metrics, reporting, scalability, and automation across the contract lifecycle.
• Support ad hoc legal and cross-functional projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a paralegal certificate, JD, or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in contract management, contract negotiation, or a related legal or commercial function.
• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences is preferred.
• Hands-on experience administering a contract lifecycle management system; experience configuring workflows, templates, or reporting is a strong plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder-management, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage a high volume of contracts and competing deadlines independently with strong attention to detail.
