Lead Data Scientist (Machine Learning)

What you will do

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, define complex analytical use cases, and estimate potential impact.
• Identify required data sources, assemble datasets from operational and analytical structures, and solve multiple complex business problems simultaneously.
• Apply advanced statistical, machine learning, and deep learning methods to create accurate, well-documented analyses and predictive models.
• Translate analytical results into reports, presentations, and data visualizations that business audiences can understand and implement.
• Plan and coordinate analyses through production delivery, including selecting the appropriate implementation approach.
• Represent major projects externally while mentoring and teaching other professionals.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of data science experience, or 3 years with a PhD.
• Master’s degree in analytics, mathematics, physics, computer and information science, engineering technology, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for a master’s degree.
• Strong knowledge of advanced analytical techniques, including regression, tree-based learning, neural networks, clustering, and natural language processing.
• Experience with SQL, BigQuery, Python, and R for data analysis and statistical modeling.
• Strong written and oral presentation skills, analytical reasoning, collaborative problem-solving, and basic prototyping or frontend skills.
• Applicants must work remotely from Pennsylvania, United States.

• Doctoral degree in analytics, mathematics, physics, computer and information science, engineering technology, or a related field.
