Payroll Analyst (12 Month Contract)

What you will do

• Support Canadian payroll processing in ADP Workforce Now and contribute to global payroll initiatives.
• Validate payroll inputs from SAP SuccessFactors, including employee data, tax locations, compensation, leaves, deductions, earnings, and direct deposits.
• Process payroll adjustments, one-time payments, retroactive payments, terminations, vacation pay, Records of Employment, and final pay requirements.
• Process and reconcile deductions and contributions, including garnishments, workers’ compensation, benefits, RRSPs, and other payroll items.
• Support quarterly and year-end reconciliations, statutory filings, T4/RL-1, T2200, TP-64, Workers’ Compensation, and Employer Health Tax reporting.
• Monitor payroll inquiries, investigate discrepancies between systems, audit payroll records, and collaborate with HR, Finance, HRIS, ADP, and benefits partners.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of payroll experience with strong knowledge of Canadian payroll, employment standards, statutory deductions, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now is required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas, and data validation.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, data integrity, judgment, prioritization, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment and work independently.
• Role location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and global payroll rules and regulations.
• Payroll Compliance Professional or Canadian Payroll Association designation, or equivalent experience.
• Post-secondary education in Finance, Payroll, Accounting, HR, or a related field.
• Experience with Copilot, Claude, or other AI-enabled tools.
