Senior Backend Developer (Machine Learning Platform)

What you will do

• Contribute to the full development lifecycle, including coding, testing, and deployment.
• Improve the usability, observability, and reliability of the AI platform.
• Maintain backend services handling millions of requests and LLM calls per day.
• Integrate machine learning models and agentic applications into production with applied scientists, data engineers, and developers.
• Evolve platform capabilities for growing machine learning models and agentic workflows.
• Use AI coding tools and suggest improvements to development processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience in a cloud environment.
• Experience with Java/Spring or Python; AWS experience is an asset.
• Good understanding of distributed systems and scalable application design.
• Ability to solve problems and debug systems.
• Comfort learning new tools, technologies, and best practices.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, OpenSearch Serverless, or vector databases.
• Experience with machine learning workflows or model deployment.
• Interest in scalable backend services, large-scale real-time systems, model orchestration, or real-time inference at scale.
