TL;DR
Intern - IT Support Technician (Windows/Networking): Supporting desktop hardware, software, service requests, and end users in a hybrid IT operations environment with an accent on troubleshooting, asset management, and technology research. Focus on configuring and maintaining computing equipment, resolving technical issues, tracking hardware and licensing inventory, and applying AI tools responsibly in daily support workflows.
Location: Arlington, Texas, United States (hybrid); two days per week in the office.

What you will do
- Configure, maintain, support, and implement desktop hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, provide end-user support, and facilitate service tickets.
- Track hardware, software, and licensing inventories.
- Maintain IT lab and storage areas, including records of borrowed equipment.
- Manage spare computers and monitors for rapid replacement.
- Research future technologies and support technology teams with IT operations.
Requirements
- Current student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or Statistics, with at least one semester remaining at the internship start.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale; junior or senior classification preferred.
- One to two years of related enterprise technical support experience and/or training preferred.
- Support-level knowledge of Windows 10 and/or iOS, PC hardware and software, and networking concepts including TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, DHCP, and DNS.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, prioritization, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Immigration-related sponsorship is not provided, including H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, and J-1 support.
Nice to have
- Progress toward a professional certification such as A+ or NET+.
- Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, evaluating AI outputs, and integrating AI into workflows.
- Knowledge of responsible AI use, ethics, and data protection.
