TL;DR
Code of Ethics, Legal, Compliance, and Risk Co Op (Investment Management): Supporting Code of Ethics administration, legal and regulatory research, client documentation, and compliance operations with an accent on broker account processes, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements. Focus on creating reporting tools, improving compliance workflows, analyzing data, and coordinating documentation across legal, compliance, risk, trading, and operations teams.

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid schedule with office attendance four days per week and remote work one day per week. Only Northeastern University students are eligible.

Salary: $19–$35 per hour

What you will do

  • Support the Firm’s Code of Ethics policies and respond to employee questions about ethical conduct, conflicts of interest, personal investing, gifts, entertainment, and outside activities.
  • Support broker account lifecycle processes, compliance data, reporting, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with EMEA and APAC compliance colleagues, Operational Risk, Internal Audit, Legal, Trading, Operations, and Investment Administration.
  • Create and maintain data visualizations and reporting tools to improve operational transparency and decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to automate compliance workflows and improve processes through data-driven insights.
  • Perform client and entity document review, database population, record retention, signature coordination, gap analysis, and legal and regulatory research.

Requirements

  • Current Northeastern University student eligible for the co-op program.
  • Strong academic credentials, organizational and problem-solving skills, professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize time-sensitive goals, manage multiple initiatives, maintain confidentiality, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, interest in financial markets, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Anticipated start date: December 2026 or January 2027.

Nice to have

  • Legal or financial services focus.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Experience with process automation tools such as Power Automate and analysis of large datasets.
