Lead/Senior Scientist (Materials Science)

What you will do

• Design and conduct experiments to develop formulations, processes, and manufacturing methods that improve product performance.
• Develop functional adhesives, nanomaterial dispersions, and thermal or UV-curable composite coatings.
• Prepare optimized samples and supporting databases for customer testing.
• Perform reliability testing, failure analysis, and root cause analysis for developmental and field products.
• Coordinate with business, manufacturing, customers, partners, vendors, and suppliers to solve technical problems.
• Document research and technical results, train and mentor junior scientists, and support partners and customers through travel as needed.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of industrial product-development experience formulating and testing functional adhesives for electrical conductivity or thermal management applications.
• Hands-on experience with nanomaterial dispersions, process development, characterization, testing, and evaluation.
• Experience with polymer structure-property relationships and polymer, electrical, and thermal characterization techniques.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Commitment to safety and ability to work in a fast-paced global team.
