Materials Scientist (Photopolymer Development)

What you will do

• Design and optimize complex photopolymer formulations for additive manufacturing.
• Lead new materials from laboratory-scale concepts through technology transfer, scale-up, and commercial launch.
• Establish structure-process-property relationships through experimentation and analytical characterization.
• Use knowledge of 3D printing processes and hardware to guide formulation decisions and future hardware development.
• Collaborate with product management, hardware, and software teams to develop materials and products for the Form 4 platform.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in polymer science, chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, or a related field.
• Experience developing thermoset materials, including epoxies, urethanes, or acrylates.
• Hands-on laboratory experience conducting experiments and analyzing large datasets.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced R&D environment and move projects forward independently.
• Track record including publications, intellectual property generation, or product commercialization.
• Strong documentation skills, including organizing complex data, creating SOPs, and writing detailed internal reports.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with additive manufacturing technologies.
• Programming and digital analysis experience with Python, JMP, MATLAB, Minitab, or similar tools.
• Experience with high-performance polymers, composites, or elastomers.
