Senior Program Manager, Strategic Project Development (Transmission)

Location: Westwood, Massachusetts, United States. Hybrid schedule requires at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays; employees must be able to work up to five days in the office when needed.

Annual salary: $137,170–$152,410, with potential incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of strategic transmission line and substation projects from early-stage development through handoff to the Project Management Organization.
• Lead cross-functional coordination across system planning, engineering, siting, real estate, legal, regulatory, environmental, procurement, engagement, and project management teams.
• Develop early-stage project strategies, schedules, budgets, policies, feasibility plans, permitting approaches, and execution frameworks.
• Facilitate internal and external stakeholder discussions, public meetings, regulatory hearings, town halls, and industry engagements.
• Define project and program metrics, track progress, communicate action items, and brief strategic project leadership.
• Support the evaluation and advancement of transmission development solutions consistent with safety and procurement policies.

Requirements

• Must be based in Westwood, Massachusetts, and available for the required hybrid office schedule.
• At least 10 years of related experience, including successful project development.
• Project management experience and understanding of onshore electric infrastructure development, such as solar or wind projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental studies, renewable energy, business, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, reporting, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Valid driver’s license required; availability for emergency restoration assignments required.

Nice to have

• Master’s, law, or another related advanced degree.
• Experience developing competitive infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of electric transmission and distribution systems.
