Quality Control Analyst I (Biotech)

Location: Walkersville, Maryland, United States. Onsite office role with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.

Salary: $61,200–$71,400 base annual salary, plus a performance-related bonus.

What you will do

• Perform routine sampling and testing of environmental monitoring, utilities, raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, and stability samples.
• Conduct viable and non-viable environmental monitoring, surface sampling, and personnel monitoring in classified manufacturing and laboratory environments.
• Document, review, and report laboratory data according to Good Documentation Practices and ALCOA+ data integrity principles.
• Manage sample receipt, handling, storage, inventory tracking, and shipment coordination with external testing laboratories.
• Support laboratory operations through housekeeping, material stocking, inventory management, and routine equipment care.
• Identify and escalate deviations, atypical results, out-of-specification results, and compliance concerns; participate in training and improvement projects.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or other regulated laboratory environment.
• Experience with routine laboratory testing and sample handling in a GMP-regulated environment.
• Working knowledge of aseptic technique, contamination control, laboratory practices, and cGMP requirements.
• Understanding of Good Documentation Practices, ALCOA+ principles, and data integrity requirements.
• Ability to follow written procedures accurately, maintain laboratory records, manage testing priorities, and communicate effectively.
• Associate degree, technical certification, military laboratory training, or equivalent relevant laboratory experience preferred.
