Market Commentary Writer + Social Editor (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States; locations listed as San Francisco, CA and New York City, NY

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 USD annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Monitor market and macroeconomic news and generate timely content ideas for the Vested Interest newsletter.
• Write engaging short- and long-form market commentary for written and video formats.
• Manage social content across platforms including Substack, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Translate newsletter stories into social media content and develop original audio, video, and written material.
• Partner with Lifecycle, Social Media, Creative, Investment Research, Editorial, and Compliance teams to distribute content.
• Evaluate formats and channels, measure content impact, and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience writing and editing timely market and macroeconomic stories at top-tier outlets.
• Original, timely long-form writing experience is required.
• Familiarity with investing, personal finance strategies, macroeconomic data, and financial trends affecting young professionals.
• Expertise in translating financial news and data into unique, accessible content.
• Audio, video, and/or social media experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
