Content Marketing Intern (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid at the downtown Chicago headquarters, with in-office work two days per week. Candidates must be local or able to relocate independently; relocation assistance is not provided.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Schedule: 40 hours per week, May–August 2027.

What you will do

• Research and write clear, engaging content about fintech, personal finance, lending, and related financial topics for consumers.
• Create, edit, and optimize content for blogs, websites, email, social media, and other digital marketing channels.
• Support SEO keyword research and content optimization to improve organic search visibility.
• Support GEO initiatives by structuring authoritative, well-sourced content for visibility and citation in AI-powered search platforms.
• Follow brand, editorial, regulatory, and compliance guidelines while maintaining a consistent voice.
• Collaborate with content, marketing, legal, and other stakeholders from development through publication.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Strong writing, editing, research, verbal communication, grammar, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Previous writing experience through internships, coursework, school publications, freelance work, blogs, or other projects, with a portfolio or writing samples.
• Ability to translate complex fintech concepts into clear, accurate, and engaging consumer content.
• Strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Interest in content writing, personal finance, SEO, GEO, social media, digital marketing, and fintech.
