Sr Business Analyst (Financial Services)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Hybrid schedule with at least four days per week in the office and flexibility to work from home one day per week.

Base salary: $81,700–$122,500 per year, excluding potential bonuses, commissions, and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Analyze complex business issues using data from multiple sources, statistical analysis, modeling, and quantitative techniques.
• Support projects from design through implementation and monitoring, recommending actions and solutions for business issues.
• Manage relationships across business and utility functions and serve as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
• Produce, review, and validate quantitative and qualitative reports, resolving reporting issues and handling routine and ad hoc requests.
• Present analytical results, recommendations, action plans, and priorities to business partners, utility functions, clients, and external parties.

Requirements

• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, including statistical analysis and modeling.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to influence customers through recommendations and analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of business operations and processes, with the ability to explain processes to others.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least five years of relevant experience.
• Valid United States work authorization is required without current or future visa sponsorship needs.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake, AWS Athena, or cloud-based data lake environments.
• Background in insurance, annuities, wholesaling, or financial services.
• Experience with sales, wholesaling, or distribution metrics.
• Experience partnering with leadership to define and evolve business metrics.
• Familiarity with BI and analytics best practices, data validation, and metric governance.
