Mechanical Engineer Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Thousand Oaks, California, United States. The role is part of the U.S. internship program and requires U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status, as well as eligibility for ITAR and/or EAR authorization.

Hourly rate: $25 for sophomores graduating in 2030, $27 for juniors graduating in 2029, $29 for seniors graduating in 2028, or $32 for graduate students.

What you will do

• Build, test, and debug prototype samples.
• Support high-volume production lines and collaborate on complex technical problems.
• Create engineering prints and specifications and determine design approaches and parameters.
• Perform design verification using diagnostic and experimental methods.
• Evaluate equipment, conduct experimental tests, and analyze results with statistical methods.
• Communicate with customers and engineering teams about key design issues and solutions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a B.S., M.Eng., or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
• U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident status required.
• Must be eligible to obtain authorization under ITAR and/or EAR.
• Apply core engineering concepts to complex, unfamiliar, and novel problems.
• Communicate complex information clearly with peers, managers, and customers.
• Demonstrate initiative, creativity, persistence, and the ability to achieve results in teams.
