Process Engineer I, R&D (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Camden, New Jersey, USA; travel of more than 25% to thermal manufacturing and co-manufacturing facilities is required.

Salary: $75,800–$104,200 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Support process development and basic plant or pilot-plant feasibility work for new products, processes, and packaging initiatives.
• Improve and troubleshoot manufacturing issues across the Soup & Broth product platform.
• Evaluate formula margin opportunities in collaboration with the Enabler Acceleration Team.
• Develop test plans, including design-of-experiments activities, and document and communicate results.
• Learn plant and pilot-plant equipment to support process translation and scale-up.
• Partner with process engineering, product development, innovation, manufacturing, and corporate engineering teams to solve technical process and ingredient challenges before commercialization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• At least one year of food-related or chemical engineering experience in R&D or a manufacturing facility; relevant co-op and internship experience is considered.
• Ability to travel more than 25% to thermal manufacturing and co-manufacturing facilities.
• Foundational documentation, communication, experimental design, manufacturing systems, and process knowledge.
