Communications Specialist II (Gov't Tech)

Location: US remote

Base compensation: $70,000–$85,000 annually, with a midpoint of $77,500.

What you will do

• Develop operational and end-user communications for QualityNet Shared Services and lines of business, including system notices, release notifications, and change alerts.
• Create training and informational materials such as videos, graphics, user guides, presentations, and microlearning assets.
• Maintain Confluence, the QualityNet website, and other knowledge repositories, while managing enterprise listservs, distribution lists, and Slack channels.
• Coordinate content validation with technical, program, and leadership teams and support communication planning, scheduling, and intake.
• Develop branding assets, executive briefings, infographics, and multimedia materials using Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva.
• Ensure communications products comply with Section 508, WCAG, CMS plain-language, branding, and universal design standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Public Affairs, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in communications, content strategy, or stakeholder engagement in a federal IT or health IT environment.
• Experience leading content development, managing repositories, and guiding junior communications specialists.
• Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, and other visual communications tools.
• Experience managing enterprise-level distribution lists and listservs.
• Ability to learn or use Jira, Confluence, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Lucid, QualityNet tools, SurveyMonkey, UiPath, and Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting CMS/CCSQ programs and QualityNet content management tools.
• Familiarity with UiPath or other RPA and automation platforms.
• Experience with large-scale stakeholder engagement events, SAFe Agile, PI Planning communications, or pulse-check surveys.
