Electrical Engineer II (Medical Devices)

Location: On-site in Chelmsford, Massachusetts; applicants must reside within a reasonable commuting distance. Relocation is not offered.

Annual salary: $90,000–$112,000, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

Company

Develops medical devices, software, and related services for diagnosing and treating serious cardiopulmonary and respiratory conditions, including products for EMS, hospitals, public safety, and military customers.

What you will do

• Design and develop new and currently marketed medical devices, including external defibrillators, external pacemakers, and monitors.
• Design, test, document, and modify circuitry and electrical systems covering analog, digital, power supply, isolation, and high-voltage functionality.
• Perform debug testing and design qualification activities.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to develop complete systems and subsystems.
• Support Manufacturing and Quality Assurance with design debugging and improvement activities.
• Work with external vendors and contractors as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 1 year of hands-on electrical engineering experience.
• Product design experience.
• Hands-on experience with electrical engineering test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
• Analytical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and contribute effectively in a team.
