Cost Accountant (SAP)

Location: Mulgrave, Victoria, Australia; hybrid work location assignment.

What you will do

• Provide timely and accurate product costing information for internal and external customers.
• Update and maintain finished product and component costs in SAP.
• Work with the Finance Manager on production variance reporting for senior management and corporate reporting.
• Complete the annual standard costing and planning process and calculate standards for new products.
• Provide latest best estimates for material usage and purchase price variances, including monthly and year-to-date analysis.
• Support month-end activities, including headcount reporting, RIDS, and inventory reserve preparation.

Requirements

• Experience or capability in detailed analysis of direct labor, full-time, fixed-term, and casual employees, and work in progress.
• Ability to analyze planned and latest-best-estimate production throughput against actual results and prepare variance forecasts.
• Ability to perform overhead recovery analysis by molecule and production stage.
• Ability to prepare weekly plan-versus-actual monthly output reporting by SKU and molecule.
• Ability to provide data and analysis relating to work in progress, MDFs, manufacturing variances, material usage variance, and purchase price variance.
• Ability to perform ad hoc costing analysis.
