Senior Backend Engineer (AI Security)

Location: Ramat Gan, Israel; hybrid work with 2–3 days in the office

What you will do

• Design and build backend services for AI security products using Node.js and TypeScript across cloud environments and endpoints.
• Own features end to end, from business requirements and architecture through implementation, delivery, and production quality.
• Work with Product and customers to turn rapidly changing needs into robust technical solutions.
• Partner with Product, Design, and engineering teams on complex cross-company projects.
• Make and defend architectural decisions in a new and rapidly evolving security domain.
• Raise the technical bar through code reviews, design discussions, and engineering examples.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on backend development experience.
• Production-level experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience designing and delivering solutions for complex distributed systems.
• Strong ownership, independence, stakeholder management, and end-to-end feature delivery skills.
• Excellent English and strong communication skills for working in a fully distributed team.
• Interest in adopting AI technologies to improve developer experience and system performance.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Background in cybersecurity or endpoint agent development.
• Experience delivering customer-focused products in fast-paced startup environments.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents, or AI-powered product features.
