Lead Product Manager (On-chain Payments)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; hybrid collaboration with managers and teams deciding which 10+ days per month employees come into the office.

Annual base salary for positions based in California: $216,000–$270,000 USD, excluding equity, bonuses, and commissions.

What you will do

• Own product strategy and the roadmap for payments and on-chain financial capabilities on the XRP Ledger.
• Identify opportunities to improve value exchange, conversion, and settlement through blockchain infrastructure.
• Validate product-market fit through customer discovery, market research, product data, and real-world usage.
• Partner with Engineering to turn customer and market needs into scalable product and protocol capabilities.
• Work with financial institutions, payment providers, liquidity providers, developers, and ecosystem partners to address adoption barriers.
• Lead complex initiatives, make technical and commercial tradeoffs, and represent product strategy internally and externally.

Requirements

• Significant product management experience with payments, fintech, financial infrastructure, trading, or other technically complex products.
• Experience defining product strategy and leading ambiguous, high-impact initiatives from discovery through launch and adoption.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills across technical and commercial organizations.
• Technical fluency and experience with backend, infrastructure, API, or protocol-level products.
• Ability to translate complex financial workflows into clear product opportunities and make decisions across product, technology, market, and go-to-market considerations.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup associated with the San Francisco, United States location.

Nice to have

• Experience with payments, FX, liquidity, settlement, treasury, or financial market infrastructure.
• Experience building crypto, blockchain, or stablecoin products.
• Familiarity with wallets, digital assets, on-chain transactions, and decentralized or electronic trading systems.
• Experience with developer platforms, open-source ecosystems, protocol-level product development, or multi-party ecosystem adoption.
