Delivery Solutions Architect (Data & AI)

Location: Tokyo, Japan. Travel up to 30% as needed.

What you will do

• Define technical execution strategies across complex customer use cases and multiple workstreams.
• Advise customer technical leads and architects on architecture decisions and technical strategy.
• Design secure, governed, scalable, and production-ready Databricks architectures.
• Build and demonstrate working solutions, prototypes, and reusable technical assets.
• Drive platform adoption and consumption by connecting technical execution to measurable business outcomes.
• Align Databricks, customer, partner, and implementation teams while managing risks and delivery dependencies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in solutions architecture, solutions engineering, technical consulting, professional services, data engineering, or a related technical role.
• Strong coding proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar languages.
• Deep understanding of distributed data systems, data engineering, analytics, data warehousing, AI/ML, and modern cloud architectures.
• Experience designing secure, governed, scalable data solutions and leading architecture discussions with senior technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Full professional proficiency in Japanese is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Databricks experience or certification.
• Expertise in AI/ML, data engineering, streaming, data warehousing, governance, or migrations.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and production cloud deployments.
• Business-level English proficiency.
