Senior Manager, Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) – Plant 4

Location: Geel, Antwerp, Belgium

Base pay: €96,000–€165,025 per year

What you will do

• Lead the Geel-based process engineering team supporting MSAT activities for Plant 4.
• Act as the single point of contact for Plant 4 MSAT activities, including technical assessments, process improvements, site transfers, and lifecycle management.
• Provide strategic and technical leadership in collaboration with global process owners, production, Quality, technology, data, and development functions.
• Support regulatory audits and inspections, complex investigations, escalations, project oversight, and day-to-day production operations.
• Monitor process and product performance through Continuous Process Verification and manage the productivity and cost-improvement portfolio.
• Lead digitalization initiatives, including data analytics, automated reporting, digital twins, process analytical technology, and real-time release solutions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in chemical engineering, process technology, bioengineering, industrial engineering, chemistry, or equivalent industrial experience.
• Strong understanding of API manufacturing and chemical synthesis, with interest in data analytics.
• Experience leading teams, influencing stakeholders, managing conflicting interests, and making autonomous decisions.
• Strong analytical, communication, project management, planning, coordination, and cost-improvement skills.
• Experience with process excellence and lean production concepts and tools.
• Working knowledge of English and Dutch is required, or willingness to develop proficiency in Dutch.
