Backend Engineer (AWS/Python)

Location: Brno, Czech Republic. Candidates must be legally able to work in the specified region.

What you will do

• Develop backend services for the intelligent procurement platform.
• Build and maintain serverless microservices deployed on AWS.
• Design communication and orchestration between distributed services.
• Use AWS Lambda, Python, and other AWS services including DynamoDB, Glue, Step Functions, Athena, and Timestream.
• Contribute to frontend development with React and TypeScript if desired.
• Collaborate with autonomous engineering teams and challenge technical solutions through open discussion.

Requirements

• Legal ability to work in the specified region is required.
• Experience or strong interest in backend programming and service design.
• Interest in learning new technologies and applying them to improve engineering efficiency.
• Ability to collaborate, discuss technical decisions, and give and receive constructive feedback.
• Familiarity with Python, serverless architecture, microservices, or AWS is relevant to the role.

Nice to have

• Experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with Behave integration tests or Playwright UI tests.
